I started this blog for you 10 years ago last month, on February 18, 2013. It was two months after our first date.
First day of the rest of our lives
This is the title of my first time writing to you on this blog. First day of the rest of our lives.
Coffee at the Dundee Double Shot really changed our lives, huh? Well, really - meeting at UNMC/Nebraska Medicine changed our lives. Choosing to work there even before that, well that really changed our lives...
God's hand has been present throughout our lives. You just have to remember to look for it.
One thing that sticks out to me from my first post to you - "I have been finding that I look at you and tell myself “I’m going to marry you.” When I look at you, I see my future wife."
You are amazing because…
Your care and love for the Down Syndrome community is inspiring. You serve your patient's at Children's Hospital so well. Dr Nielsen''s note to your manager last year about how you are such an important part of the clinic [you had called another state to help a family who had moved from Nebraska, and helped this underserved family find a doctor and Down Syndrome clinic and all their specialists, who were located in various towns throughout that state].
You inspire me because of your service to others.
